With the increasing adoption of e-commerce and the growing demand for faster and more efficient delivery, the e-commerce logistics market in Europe is expected to witness significant growth in the coming years. As such, our media partner Parcel Monitor has recently released a report covering a comprehensive analysis of the industry trends, last mile-related issues and delivery performance metrics of 6 key e-commerce markets across the region — Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

According to the report, there are more than 336,000 Pick-Up & Drop-Off (PUDO) locations available throughout Europe, of which 43,000 are automated parcel machines (APMs). To be more specific,  among the 6 countries observed, Belgium had the highest collection points usage in 2022, followed by France, Germany and the Netherlands. When compared to the previous years' data, there was a dip in CP usage in most European countries, except France; this was partly due to La Poste Groupe's launch of 50 smart lockers throughout Paris by Q1 2022.
